Manufacturing Engineer I Glasgow I Competitive Salary
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment and play a key role in improving processes, productivity, quality, and efficiency.
This is a hands-on role working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify problems, implement improvements, and help ensure manufacturing processes operate safely, efficiently, and consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency.
- Identify and resolve production issues and process bottlenecks.
- Analyse production data, downtime, waste, and quality performance.
- Lead continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing projects.
- Investigate root causes of quality and process issues.
- Support the introduction of new equipment, processes, and products.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, cost, and energy usage.
- Support health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

About You
You will ideally have a qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, together with experience in a manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone who is:
- Practical and hands-on.
- Analytical and confident working with data.
- Experienced in problem solving and continuous improvement.
- A strong communicator who works well with production teams.
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of projects.
- Interested in improving processes, quality, and efficiency.

Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, root-cause analysis, or process improvement would be advantageous.
