Manufacturing Engineer / Project Lead

A hands-on manufacturing engineering role to define and deliver MasterMover's UK-to-US Primary Build programme.

Location: Ashbourne, Derbyshire, with involvement in US operations programme delivery

Function: Operations / Manufacturing Engineering / Continuous Improvement

Contract: Full time, permanent

Role focus: Lean manufacturing, project delivery, primary build process design, US conversion capability and Epicor-enabled operational improvement

The Opportunity

MasterMover is creating a new operating model where products are built to a defined Primary Build Stage in Ashbourne, shipped to the United States and then converted to customer-specific orders in the US. We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with strong project management capability to help define, launch and improve this model.

What you will lead

  • Define and implement optimal build processes using Lean manufacturing methods and industry best practice.
  • Lead the practical delivery of the Primary Build programme: product definition, BOM structures, conversion process, work instructions, tooling, space, labour and launch readiness.
  • Design the process by which UK-built primary build units are converted into customer orders in the US.
  • Work with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, IT/Epicor and US Operations to coordinate decisions and deliverables.
  • Support Stage 1 of the programme: getting the UK-to-US operating model up and running.
  • Support Stage 2 of the programme: automation, lean optimisation, replenishment workflows, cost reduction and benefits delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
