About Us:
Radical Motorsport is one of the world’s most prolific sports car manufacturers, with over 3,000 cars produced in the past 27 years. From its 1997 inception, Radical set out to create a niche in the world of motorsport, a race-bred thrill-a-minute driving experience. But the Radical philosophy extends much wider than just the cars. By launching our own race championships, we became the first manufacturer to bring long format, doubleheader endurance racing to the club racer, and provided a comprehensive spares and technical support team at every event that continues to this day.
At our Peterborough Factory, we produce over 100 cars per year, exported to a global network of over 30 dealers. This is where we see our cars from start to finish before they hit the track -from our team of engineers who design and test new concepts, to the production teams who machine, fabricate, laminate, engine build, assemble, and dyno sign off every Radical car produced.
Job Summary:
Support the Quality and Manufacturing teams in maintaining and improving production standards, quality processes and manufacturing documentation across the business. This role offers hands-on exposure to low-volume high-performance vehicle manufacturing, supporting both current production and new development projects.
Contract:
12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for a permanent position
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience within a high-performance, low-volume vehicle manufacturing environment. The role will initially be offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis, providing practical experience across quality assurance, manufacturing engineering, problem solving and continuous improvement. For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to continue with the business in a permanent capacity following the initial contract, subject to performance and future business requirements.

The Role:
- Create new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and update existing documentation for production vehicle builds, catalogue parts and new development components.
- Maintain the Non-Conforming Parts (NCP) database, supporting validation, investigation and corrective action activities.
- Support management of incoming and outgoing non-conforming parts to maintain accurate quality and stock control processes.
- Conduct periodic SOP reviews to ensure documentation remains accurate and aligned with current manufacturing practices.
- Carry out measuring equipment verification and calibration activities, maintaining accurate calibration records.
- Perform audit checks relating to customer-raised concerns, repeat production issues and manufacturing quality standards.
- Maintain quality metrics databases and support investigation of recurring quality trends and production concerns.
- Assist with continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing defects, rework and manufacturing inefficiencies.
- Review existing manufacturing and quality processes, suggest improvements and support implementation of agreed process improvements.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering teams to support production and development activities.

Skills & experience:
Essential:
- Currently studying towards a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similar engineering discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good written communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical documentation.
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Proactive attitude with willingness to learn in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Desirable:
- Understanding of manufacturing processes or quality systems.
- Experience using CAD, ERP or quality management systems.
- Knowledge of motorsport or automotive manufacturing environments.
- Awareness of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.

- SOP completion and review status
- NCP processing and closure times
- Calibration compliance and record accuracy
- Repeat issue reduction and corrective action tracking
- Quality database accuracy and reporting completion
- Audit completion and compliance performance
