Job Description Summary

Engineering related to the manufacturing process. Influences the quality of their own work and the work of others in the team. Performs operational/technical standard tasks, usually following instructions and work procedures. May have some flexibility to change the sequence and complete tasks/duties based on changing work situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

Manufacturing tasks that do not require a 4-year degree. Primarily tactical tasks. This does not include general administrative work. Expanding knowledge of their own technical discipline to implement policies/strategies. May involve support roles with specialized technical knowledge; continuous acquisition of knowledge and skills at a higher level. Basic understanding of the most important business drivers; uses this understanding to perform their own work. Good knowledge of how the work of their own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the department. May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Solves problems in situations where good technical knowledge and judgment are required within defined procedures. Consults higher-ranking team members on issues outside of defined instructions/parameters. A position at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be necessary to lead a junior team. Develops strong customer relationships for customer-facing roles and serves as an interface between customers and GE Vernova. Explains technical information to others.
