THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Managing Director / Head of Engineering, you will provide hands-on technical leadership and supervision across all production departments:
- Provide technical supervision and practical guidance to engineers and operators through regular shop floor engagement.
- Review and approve manufacturing documentation prior to production release.
- Lead technical input during contract reviews, identifying tooling, manufacturing methods, and potential production risks.
- Ensure production teams strictly follow approved manufacturing methods and QHSE requirements.
- Support tooling selection, process optimisation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Carry out stage inspections, support quality planning, NCR investigations, and root cause analysis alongside the Quality and Production teams.
THE PERSON

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody with a machining background who wants to transition into a supervisory role.
Technical Background: Strong experience in CNC machining, mechanical engineering, tooling, workholding, and production engineering.
Quality & Systems: Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and documentation.
Key Traits: Technically credible, hands-on, methodical, organised, and calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.
Communication & Tech: Strong digital skills, an interest in technology, and excellent communication skills to engage effectively across all business levels.
Desirable Experience: Prior exposure to balancing, pressure testing, shot blasting/painting, or advanced metrology (training provided).
