Manufacturing Excellence Manager

Allerton Bishop is delighted to be partnering with a global food manufacturing organisation to appoint a Manufacturing Excellence Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the deployment of a world-class manufacturing operating system, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and cultural change across a flagship UK manufacturing site.
Working alongside the Site Leadership Team, you will coach leaders, develop high-performing teams, and deliver measurable improvements across safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and continuous evolution of the site's Manufacturing Excellence programme, embedding Lean Manufacturing principles and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Partner with Site Leadership to improve operational performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability, and People (SQDCSM), delivering measurable productivity and efficiency gains.
- Coach and influence manufacturing, engineering, and operational teams to embed best practice, structured problem-solving, and sustainable behavioural change throughout the organisation.
- Drive Operational Excellence initiatives including Lean, TPM, Root Cause Analysis, OEE improvement, Hoshin Planning, and performance management to achieve world-class manufacturing standards.
- Champion digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives, supporting the implementation of MES and data-driven decision-making to enhance operational performance.
- Monitor site performance, identify improvement opportunities, and lead cross-functional projects that reduce waste, improve reliability, optimise manufacturing processes, and support long-term business growth.

About You

- Proven experience leading Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement programmes within a manufacturing environment, together with expertise in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- You'll be an influential leader with the ability to coach and engage stakeholders across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality.
- Industry Experience within Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or Process Manufacturing environments.
