Altro Recruiting for a Manufacturing Fabrication Team Leader

Altro are recruiting for a Manufacturing Fabrication Team Leader to join our Value Added Services team within our Manufacturing plant based in Letchworth Garden City. This role will be working on a rotating double day shift, Monday to Friday.

About the Role

Our Value Added Services team are responsible for cutting and designing bespoke flooring orders, mainly for the transport industry. You can find more about these products at the link below:

What Will You Be Doing?

The Team Leader will be responsible for the ongoing development and coaching of up to 6 Technicians on each shift. Conducting regular one-to-ones with team members, you will develop people plans to enable individuals to realise their full potential.

You will ensure Health and Safety is always of the highest priority and environmental objectives are fulfilled including risk/COSHH assessments, SOP and audits.

As well as reviewing all processes within Value Added Services to ensure that efficiency levels are achieved/exceeded, you will monitor and improve all costs and budgets.

You will support the application of 5S, visual management and continuous improvement to deliver an inspiring and highly efficient operation, while using Lean tools and techniques to deliver the most effective processes and ensure smooth day-to-day running of the function, in line with the operational targets.
