Position Summary:
Bio-Techne is a world-leading developer and manufacturer of high-quality biological reagents, and we are seeking someone to join our ancillary materials manufacturing team in Bristol, which is undergoing significant investment and will shortly be expanding into a newly constructed, purpose-built manufacturing facility. This team is responsible for the manufacture of ancillary materials under the principles of cGMP (current good manufacturing practice) for the Tocris brand (a Bio-Techne Brand).
We are looking to fill a predominantly lab-based, practical role where an eye for detail and commitment to meeting the high-quality requirements by being open to listening, learning and following instruction is crucial.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform and record manufacturing operations within the cleanrooms / chemistry labs.
- Work as part of the ancillary materials team to deliver assigned products following the process and timescale as defined in the relevant batch documentation.
- Ensure any deviations from process are recorded and rapidly brought to the attention of the team.
- Contribute to process reviews and record work as required in the relevant documentation.
- Contribute to development of the quality management system by reviewing and updating procedures as required.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders on workload, prioritisation, and progress.
- Work in a safe, tidy, and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Perform other duties as required to support manufacturing (such as moving and storing materials)

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
