Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead and manage the U13 manufacturing area, ensuring we consistently meet and exceed customer expectations across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP).

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, can make effective decisions under pressure and is passionate about developing people and driving continuous improvement.

  • Proactively manage health, safety and environmental performance using 6S principles.
  • Work with the wider site team to reduce accidents, near misses and environmental hazards.
  • Support legislative audits and action plans, driving improvements in safety and environmental performance.

Quality

  • Lead and make decisions on quality and engineering issues affecting the shift, with training provided where required.
  • Promote a culture of right-first-time manufacturing, continuous improvement and zero defects.

  • Identify and implement cost-reduction and efficiency improvements that increase profitability and customer value.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste and optimise manufacturing performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
