Manufacturing Manager

Our client is a global technology business supplying specialised components and subsystems into aerospace, defence, healthcare and industrial markets. Their products sit inside hospitals, aircraft, ships and satellites, engineered to some of the highest reliability standards in the world.

They're hiring a Manufacturing Manager to lead operational performance across a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment producing highly engineered products for Healthcare, Industrial and Defence customers.

What you'll own:

  • Leadership of a team of Manufacturing Team Leaders, building a high-performing, accountable manufacturing organisation
  • Delivery against Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity targets
  • Resourcing, capacity planning and manufacturing flow across current and future demand
  • Lean, Continuous Improvement and structured problem-solving embedded across the shop floor
  • Manufacturing readiness for new products and technology transfers
  • Budget, CAPEX and cost management within your area

What we're looking for:

  • A proven track record leading manufacturing teams within a complex manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated improvements delivered in safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity
  • Strong grounding in Lean/Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence methodologies
  • Experience managing capacity planning and manufacturing resource
  • Comfort with quality management systems and compliance in a regulated manufacturing setting
  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume production of highly engineered products
  • SAP S/4HANA experience is a plus
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Operations Management
