Manufacturing Mechanic
Role Overview
We are looking for a Manufacturing Mechanic to join our Finishing team in Rochester, NY.
This Manufacturing Mechanic position will work both independently and with other members of our maintenance and engineering teams to provide various types of support for equipment in our Finishing manufacturing areas.
Responsibilities
- Provide multi-discipline capability to repair, maintain, install, and make improvements to Finishing processing equipment (includes mechanical, some electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics)
- Work with other members of the Finishing team to resolve equipment issues
- Perform alignment and adjustments as needed on production equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on a wide variety of Finishing equipment
- Utilize hand tools as well as maintenance shop equipment to perform tasks as needed

Required Skills & Experience
- Highly involved, motivated, and clean-cut with an advance mechanical / some electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to change focus based on priorities
- Mechanical equipment repair training and / or demonstrated experience
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical / electrical machine drawings
- Ability to work on tasks requiring high precision & high level of detail
- Significant walking or mobility required
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong team player — willing to be flexible and collaborate with maintenance trades
- Safety-focused attitude: balance safety and environment as top priorities in all work
- Knowledge of Lock-Out / Tag-Out processes
- Must be able to work in dark-room conditions if needed
- Ability to work occasional overtime
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Excellent communication skills for daily interaction with maintenance and Operations staff
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & maintenance software tools
- Familiarity with machine tools such as Lathe, milling machines, grinders, etc.
