We are currently recruiting Manufacturing Operatives to join a successful and well-established manufacturing business in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career within a modern production environment, with full training provided, clear progression opportunities, and an increase in pay upon successful completion of probation.

Working within a busy and supportive team, you will play a key role in the manufacture and quality assurance of high-quality plastic components used across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate injection moulding machinery and associated production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure output meets required quality and performance standards.
  • Carry out visual inspections and quality checks on finished products.
  • Trim, assemble, package, and prepare products for dispatch.
  • Identify and report faults, defects, or production issues to supervisors.
  • Complete production records and documentation accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards across the production area.
  • Follow health, safety, and company procedures at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and team leaders to achieve daily production targets.
  • Assist with machine changeovers and basic equipment checks where required.
  • Handle materials and stock safely in line with company procedures.

Shift Pattern

This Role Operates On a Rotating Three-week Shift Pattern

  • Week 1: Early Shift: 6:00am - 2:15pm
  • Week 2: Late Shift: 2:00pm - 10:15pm
  • Week 3: Night Shift: 10:00pm - 6:15am

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, factory, or warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible in approach to work.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and follow established processes.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts on a full-time basis.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices within a production environment would be beneficial.
