We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Operative to join a well-established precast concrete manufacturer based in Earls Colne. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with a growing business that offers training, development and a permanent opportunity.
Please note: This is a very physically demanding role involving manual handling, working with wet concrete and being on your feet throughout the day. Applicants must be comfortable with heavy, hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.
Duties Will Include
- Levelling and finishing freshly poured concrete to a high standard
- Using vibrating poker equipment to remove air pockets and ensure an even concrete finish
- Shovelling, floating and trowelling concrete to create smooth, consistent surfaces
- Assisting with the preparation of precast concrete moulds
- Supporting the crane operative with positioning reinforcement cages into moulds
- Carrying out quality checks before products are cast
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area throughout the shift
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Working as part of the production team to meet daily manufacturing targets

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience within manufacturing, production, construction or another physically demanding environment
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- The ability to work in a physically demanding role
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude towards teamwork
