Manufacturing Operator - Blockline Support Team
We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Operator to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Blockline Support Team in Daventry, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom.
Job Description
Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.
Working 37.5 hours per week on a 2-shift rotating pattern of:
- Mornings: Monday to Friday 7.00am – 3.00pm
- Afternoons: Monday to Friday 3.00pm – 11.00pm
Successful applicants will need to be able to work both shift rotations.
This role is a temporary contract for up to 24 months, with the potential for extension or longer-term opportunities depending on performance and business needs.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Operating advanced CNC machines to craft high-precision cylinder blocks, ensuring quality and adherence to detailed specifications.
- Working to production targets and cycle times.
- Demonstrating expertise in manual and automated systems to support production requirements.
- Maintaining both quality and safety standards.
- Communicating effectively with your team and support staff to enhance teamwork and productivity.
- Following quality control processes such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) to manage quality and minimize production costs.
- Adhering to HSE standards and promptly reporting hazards to help maintain a safe working environment.
- Keeping your work area clean and performing routine maintenance to ensure the reliability of equipment and seamless operations.
- Identifying areas for improvement in quality, safety, and efficiency to support continuous improvement.

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, with strong skills in mathematics and technical knowledge.
- Vocational or technical training in CNC machining or engineering is highly advantageous.
- Previous experience in operating CNC machines in the automotive or engineering fields is preferred, but training is provided.
- Comfortable with PCs or handheld terminals, ensuring effective use of quality standards and safety practices.
