Position overview:

The main purpose of our Lacquer Team is to prepare and issue coatings materials to line. To provide specialist technical support to the line operators to ensure a high quality product is produced at the maximum efficiency.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Observe company health, safety and environmental regulations at all times.
  • Assist the operators to set, run and clean the washing and spraying units, the external coatings units and the ovens.
  • Monitor performance of washing and coating processes at all times to ensure quality and efficiency of coatings usage.
  • Troubleshoot problems on line and recommend preventative measures.
  • Carry out operator maintenance of the lacquer machines and to maintain spare parts and change parts in good order.
  • Prepare and issue coatings materials to line, including bookings on SAP.
  • Remove all waste to the correct bins and maintain a clean and tidy workplace.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by Management.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing (mandatory)
  • Previous experience in basic mechanical and maintenance operations (mandatory)
  • Previous experience with SAP (preferred)
  • Forklift licence (preferred)
  • Flexibility, reliability and ability to work within a team

This role is working a rotating shift pattern which includes days, nights and weekends.

The shift pattern is shown below. The hours are 6am - 6pm and 6pm-6am.

The rotation is 4 weeks on days and 4 weeks on nights.

The work week is:

Week 1 - Mon - Tues - Fri - Sat - Sun

Week 2 - Wed - Thurs
