Manufacturing Operator

Location: Inchinnan Paisley

Duration: 3 months (potential for extension)

Salary: £13.79 +25% shift allowance

We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Operator I to join a leading manufacturing facility in Paisley. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are reliable, motivated, and keen to learn, with full training provided from day one.

No previous manufacturing experience is required, making this role ideal for school leavers, career changers, and candidates looking to gain valuable experience within a highly regulated production environment.

You'll become part of a supportive team where safety, quality, and development are at the heart of everything we do.

The Role

As a Manufacturing Operator you will play an important role in supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations, helping to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will gain experience across different production areas and contribute to the efficient delivery of manufacturing activities.

This Role Operates On a Rotating Three-week Shift Pattern

  • Week 1: Early Shift - 6:00am to 2:00pm
  • Week 2: Night Shift - 10:00pm to 6:00am
  • Week 3: Back Shift - 2:00pm to 10:00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing activities in line with daily production requirements
  • Operate equipment safely and in accordance with standard procedures
  • Follow all quality, safety, and compliance requirements
  • Contribute to achieving production schedules and performance targets
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation
  • Work effectively with supervisors, team leaders, and colleagues
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding quality and service-related matters
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Skills And Experience

  • No previous manufacturing experience required
  • Full training will be provided
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Working Environment

This position is based within a manufacturing environment and may involve:

  • Working in graded and non-graded production areas
  • Adhering to specific gowning requirements
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Manual handling and repetitive tasks
  • Working safely with chemicals and hazardous materials
  • Rotating shifts, including nights
