As a member of our Print Section, the main purpose of your role is to externally coat and decorate the can according to the required specification.

The Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Set and run Dry offset printing machine
  • Prepare materials required for the next job and ensure they match the job sheet supplied and no obvious defects with printing plates etc.
  • Regularly inspect cans at specific intervals to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Examine printed cans and compare them with the Tolerance Card to verify that the printing colour/text and registration meets client specifications
  • Detect and correct any defects by making the required machine adjustments.
  • Isolate any non-conforming product and report to the Shift manager and QC.
  • Hand over to the on-coming Print Operative and inform him/her of the current process conditions using the team to team process
  • Communicate effectively with other team members.
  • Minimise waste and maintain a clean and tidy workplace.

What are we looking for:

  • Previous experience and background in printing within a manufacturing/industrial environment - mandatory
  • Experience using quality control equipment
  • Experience in maintenance and mechanical operations - preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Hand tools skills

This role involves a rotating shift pattern which includes days, nights, and weekends. The hours are 6am - 6pm and 6pm-6am. The rotation is 4 weeks on days and 4 weeks on nights.

  • Week 2 - Wed - Thurs
