We're looking for a high calibre engineer to join our Current Manufacturing Engineering team, supporting the development and optimisation of stator manufacturing processes within our Electrical Drive Unit production facilities. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of advanced manufacturing, helping deliver world-class products that power the next generation of modern luxury vehicles.
Working within a highly skilled engineering environment, you'll be responsible for process design, development and production support across global EDU manufacturing operations. You'll drive improvements in quality, efficiency and capability, working closely with cross functional teams to ensure robust, scalable manufacturing processes that meet demanding quality, volume and cost targets.
What To Expect
This is a hands-on position with plenty of scope to make an impact. Key responsibilities will include –
- Lead the procurement, delivery and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and assembly systems across hairpin forming, pressing, copper forming, welding, coating, insulation, testing and final assembly processes
- Define and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, metrology systems and line side gauging to support product design, quality and production requirements
- Support daily production challenges, driving rapid issue resolution to help achieve key operational, quality and performance metrics
- Develop and standardise manufacturing processes, procedures and engineering strategies for deployment across Global Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering
- Drive manufacturing feasibility activities, identifying product and process issues early and implementing robust, long term engineering solutions
- Introduce innovative manufacturing technologies to improve safety, quality, productivity, efficiency and cost performance
- Lead continuous improvement activities across investment efficiency, process capability, manufacturing cost, process robustness, flexibility and IATF-compliant process documentation

What You’ll Need
We’re looking for someone with the right blend of experience, qualifications, and practical skills, including –
- Proven Manufacturing Process Engineering experience within a production environment, with strong application of PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Audits and Critical Characteristics
- Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems, with the ability to analyse and interpret process and quality data using SAP, QDAS, Engineering Workstation and similar tools
- Good working knowledge of CATIA V5 or equivalent CAD software, alongside experience using engineering and reliability tools such as Reliasoft
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project
- Strong engineering knowledge, including the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and GD&T
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience supporting cross functional teams across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to production
- Self motivated and results driven, with experience of inline testing, quality auditing and delivering against key project milestones and commitments
