About the Role

We are a well-established, close-knit company specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality, customer-specific sensors used across a wide range of industries and applications. We are looking for an experienced Engineer who enjoys a hands-on role and wants the opportunity to make a real difference. This is not simply a purchasing administration position – you will have the opportunity to take ownership of existing functions, shape how they operate, and introduce your own ideas.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide day-to-day engineering support for manufacturing operations, including thin-film deposition, sensor assembly, test, and calibration processes.
  • Perform rapid fault finding and root-cause analysis on equipment and process failures to minimise downtime.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, purchasing, and maintenance teams to resolve stoppages, equipment anomalies, supplier failures, and yield issues.
  • Support new product introduction activities including process development, prototype manufacture, and transfer of products into volume manufacturing.

Quality Assurance & Investigations

  • Support quality investigations (e.g., NCRs, customer complaints, scrap reduction initiatives) utilising structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why).
  • Capture, analyse, and communicate findings from quality investigations, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Support supplier quality activities including investigation of supplier non-conformances, corrective actions, incoming inspection improvements.
  • Analyse manufacturing, test, and quality data to identify process variation, improve capability, and drive yield improvements.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of process validation, process control plans, and manufacturing risk assessments to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with internal quality management systems and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001 / ISO 13485).
  • Monitor key process metrics, identify trends, implement corrective and preventive actions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
