Manufacturing Quality Engineer
Bedfordshire
12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
37.5 Hours per Week | 4-Day Week (Monday to Thursday)
Are you an experienced Manufacturing Quality Engineer looking to work on complex engineering programmes within a highly regulated environment?
We're supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to drive quality excellence across production activities, ensuring products meet both customer and regulatory requirements.
The Opportunity
Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and programme teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining product quality, managing non-conformances, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Generate Control Plans from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Manage the non-conformance process from containment and quarantine through to Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
- Participate in design and drawing reviews to ensure quality requirements are effectively captured.
- Support quality investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing quality performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
About You
Essential:
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance principles and quality management systems.
- Experience managing non-conformances and conducting Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience working within an AS9100-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience with Control Plans and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:
- Aerospace, Defence, or other highly regulated industry experience.
- Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.
- SAP or ERP system experience.
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement knowledge.
- Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).
