The Role

We are looking for a hands-on QA Specialist to join our Manufacturing team at SAVA. The Manufacturing QA Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day quality control and QA gate execution for our medical device sensors throughout the manufacturing process and will report into Manufacturing. You will review product data, identify defects, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with our Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 13485.

The Manufacturing QA Specialist supports product disposition decisions and ensures that only compliant product progresses through manufacturing stages.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute Quality Assurance (QA) gate reviews at key manufacturing stages
  • Review and analyse manufacturing data, automated inspection results, and production records and inspection reports generated by automated systems
  • Identify, classify, and document defects in accordance with defined standards
  • Complete and maintain QA records including failure observations, analysis inputs, and disposition recommendations
  • Apply predefined acceptance criteria to recommend product disposition (pass, reject, hold)
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with Sava systems and ISO 13485 requirements
  • Escalate quality issues, trends, or deviations to Quality Engineering or Production leadership
  • Support investigations and CAPA activities through data collection and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures, training requirements, and Health and Safety policies
  • Review automated inspection outputs to confirm results are complete, accurate, and suitable for product disposition.

Success in this role means becoming a trusted owner of manufacturing quality gates, consistently making sound disposition decisions, identifying quality trends before they become production issues, and helping improve the robustness of our manufacturing processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Physical Sciences or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing
  • Experience in regulated environments such as ISO 13485 preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with large datasets in Excel and reviewing inspection reports and familiarity with inspection or imaging systems
  • Ability to identify trends, anomalies and recurring quality issues from production data.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience working in clean room environments
  • Background in wearable medical devices, biosensing, continuous glucose monitoring, or similar sensor technologies.
  • Experience in a startup or scale-up where you built quality systems from the ground up
