Shift pattern

  • Monday to Friday, rotating earlies and lates:
    • Earlies: 5:30am–2:00pm Monday–Thursday, 5:30am–11:00am Friday
    • Lates: 1:45pm–10:15pm Monday–Thursday, 10:45am–4:15pm Friday

Salary

  • £40,000.00 + 25% shift allowance (totalling £50,000.00) + bonus

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Shift Manager to join our growing leadership team.

In this role, you'll lead a manufacturing team to deliver production targets safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll oversee day-to-day operations, resource planning, people management, training, performance and continuous improvement activities, while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.

What we're looking for:

  • Manufacturing leadership experience
  • Strong people management and coaching skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities
  • Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships
  • Positive, proactive and team-focused mindset
  • ILM Level 5 (or working towards) desirable

The ideal Manufacturing Shift Manager will have/be:

  • Demonstrable experience as a strong, engaging, and driven people manager within a manufacturing or engineering business, you will be managing between 15-25 Operatives
  • The ability to demonstrate strong communication, delegation, and coaching / mentoring skills
  • An engineering qualification with a technical understanding of how CNC machines operate and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings - you will not be expected to operate CNC machinery.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with engineering, quality, planning and supply chain teams.
  • Positive, collaborative, organised and ‘can do’ attitude to work
  • Have completed or be working towards a Leadership qualification e.g. ILM 5
