Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Location: Towcester - On site - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £ 38,095+ DOE

Role Description

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing tasks within your team while also supporting the physical production of composite parts. You will help ensure products are delivered to the required cost, quality and schedule targets, while maintaining compliance with company processes, procedures and health and safety requirements.

You will lead daily start-up meetings, manage team workloads against the production plan, coordinate issue escalation and shift handovers, support training completion, manage attendance in line with company policies, and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Core Duties

  • Responsible for supporting a team of circa 10, guiding their daily tasks, supporting their growth and ensuring smooth operations. You’ll also play a key role in physically producing quality products and services that meet our cost, quality, and schedule targets
  • Ensure company processes, procedures and health and safety regulations are complied with to provide a safe working environment
  • Maintain customer communications and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, relevant to individual area
  • Responsible for conducting Daily Start up Meetings (DSUM) covering Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP), for area of responsibility
  • Define and manage team activities and workload priorities against the overall production plan

Essential skills

  • Proven background within manufacturing composite products or experience as a supervisor or team leader in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety standards
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including verbal, written and IT based
  • Ability to lead people and meet tight deadlines
  • Familiarity of lean principles or continuous improvement

The Operations Manufacturing Team

The Operations Manufacturing Team plays a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical outputs that support overall programme performance. Working to defined standards and approved methods, the team focuses on safety, quality, cost and delivery while maintaining a consistent approach to manufacturing operations. As part of a fast-paced and evolving environment, the team works closely with a range of internal stakeholders to support operational objectives and drive continuous improvement. This provides opportunities to contribute to improvements in ways of working, strengthen operational performance, and build broad manufacturing experience across Air Sector operations.
