Job Description Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Manufacturing Support Team Member to join our manufacturing team in Stafford. This role is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of production equipment, processes, and assembly lines, ensuring production activities are maintained safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Working within a high-technology manufacturing environment, you will carry out routine equipment checks, provide first-line support for operational issues, help maintain production continuity, and contribute to process and equipment improvements. You will work closely with the manufacturing and production teams to support the achievement of production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements while contributing to Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Full training will be provided to support your development in the role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and production areas.
- Provide mechanical and operational support to production equipment and processes.
- Act as the first line of response for equipment and process-related issues.
- Assist with fault finding, troubleshooting, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Create, update, and maintain standard work instructions and operational documentation.
- Complete fault reporting, root cause investigations, and maintenance records.
- Manage spare parts, tooling, and production consumables to support uninterrupted operations.
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to achieve business objectives.
- Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives, continuous improvement activities, and departmental objectives.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in maintaining safe working practices.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, or production processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience supporting production equipment.
- Experience working with semi-automated or automated production lines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to train and support colleagues on equipment, processes, and standard work.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills with a logical and methodical approach.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous experience with structured problem-solving tools and data-driven improvement techniques is advantageous.

Additional Information
Shift Pattern: Rotating Monday to Friday
6:00am – 2:00pm
2:00pm – 10:00pm
