Manufacturing Operations Leader
Devon
GBP55,000 - GBP65,000 + Excellent Benefits
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Operations Leader to join a world-class aerospace manufacturing business at its Devon-based facility.
Working within a highly innovative aerospace environment, you will lead production teams, drive operational excellence, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to deliver outstanding safety, quality, delivery, and productivity performance.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing and production activities within a defined production area.
- Manage, coach, and develop production teams to achieve operational targets.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Deliver key KPIs including Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield, and Productivity.
- Champion High Performance Work Teams and employee engagement.
- Support maintenance and facilities activities to maximize plant performance.
- Lead culture change and promote a strong health and safety mindset.
- Provide strategic direction, resource planning, and operational leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Degree qualified or equivalent.
- 3+ years experience in Manufacturing or Operations.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement knowledge.
- Experience with Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, and 6S.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills using methodologies such as 8D or A3.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
