Owen Mumford is looking to hire a enthusiastic Manufacturing Team Leader. Could this be your next role?
As the Manufacturing Team Leader you will be responsible for leading a team of Setters, Operators and Material Handlers. This will include ownership of shift performance, the daily organisation of tasks, the planning of team resource, management of workflow and maintaining associate records including absence and holidays.
Please be aware this role is for maternity cover and is offered full time on a 9-12 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver daily production targets in line with the agreed schedule and escalate risks to output.
- Ensure accurate shift handovers and maintain daily reports for performance and quality issues.
- Support and develop team members through coaching, on-the-job training, and regular 1:1s.
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and GMP/ISO 13485 requirements.
- Lead and sustain continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency or reduce waste.
- Manage attendance and timekeeping, ensuring team adherence to company policy and procedures.

- Previous experience within a supervisory role
- Experience working within moulding
- Experience with operating machinery
- Previous experience working within a medical company or regulated industry is beneficial
- A recognised qualification in any industrial sector
- Good Microsoft skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Organisation of associates within the team
- Completion of documents as required of a team Leader
