Production Team Leader - Specialist Manufacturing Business in Leeds
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a specialist manufacturing business in Leeds to recruit a hands-on Production Team Leader to join a highly controlled, quality-focused operation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody from a food manufacturing or food processing background looking to take their experience into a different sector, where the same high standards around hygiene, quality, traceability, and process control are essential.
Monday – Friday days & afters shifts available
£47,000 starting salary
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting a small team within a specialist processing environment
- Coordinating daily workload to ensure production requirements are achieved
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and process control
- Ensuring the team follows SOPs and clearly defined production processes
- Maintaining accurate documentation and material traceability
- Training, coaching, and developing team members
- Monitoring performance and addressing any issues quickly
- Working closely with Quality and wider Manufacturing teams
- Supporting continuous improvement across the department
- Maintaining excellent health, safety, and housekeeping standards
- Remaining hands-on within the operation and leading from the front

Skills & Experience Required
- Previous leadership experience within food manufacturing or food processing
- Experience managing people within a hands-on production environment
- A good understanding of hygiene, contamination control, quality, and traceability
- Experience working to SOPs and controlled manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident training, coaching, and developing production teams
- A practical, hands-on approach to leadership
- Experience within meat, poultry, protein, or chilled food manufacturing would be particularly transferable, but isn't essential
