Manufacturing Technician
Henlow
£41,500 to £43,000 depending on experience
Onsite - 5 days per week
Are you a qualified Manufacturing Technician with a background in mechanical or electrical assembly? Do you take pride in producing high-quality products to exacting engineering standards?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading defence organisation manufacturing advanced, precision-engineered products used within highly complex systems. The Role
You'll be responsible for assembling, repairing and modifying precision-engineered products while ensuring every build meets strict engineering and quality standards. Working with specialist equipment and technical documentation, you'll contribute to the manufacture of complex products within a controlled production environment.
You'll also play an important role in maintaining product quality, supporting audits and sharing best practice with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, repair and modify mechanical and electromechanical products to engineering specifications
- Carry out manufacturing activities using specialist tools, equipment and measuring instruments
- Complete build documentation and production records accurately
- Ensure all products meet quality and certification requirements before release
- Maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the manufacturing process
- Support inspection activities and product audits where required
- Follow manufacturing procedures, quality standards and safe working practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement and share technical knowledge within the team
Skills & Experience
- Completed a Level 3 Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering apprenticeship
- Hold relevant Level 3 engineering qualifications such as NVQ, Diploma or ONC
- Experience working within a manufacturing, production or assembly environment
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
- Experience using precision hand tools and measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work effectively within a team
- Flexible approach and willingness to support a variety of manufacturing activities
