Location: Paisley Area, Renfrewshire

Pay Rate: £17.24 per hour

Contract: Initial 3-Month Contract (with potential extension)

Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Start Date: Immediate

The Opportunity

We're recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician to join a leading organisation within the life sciences sector. Working in a GMP-regulated environment, you'll play a vital role in supporting production operations by ensuring materials, equipment, and work areas are maintained to the highest quality and compliance standards.

This role is ideal for candidates with previous manufacturing experience and a good understanding of GMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage bottles, consumables, and production materials to support manufacturing activities.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Clean and prepare manufacturing equipment in line with approved procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Support 5S standards and maintain a clean, organised working environment.
  • Follow GMP, health & safety, and quality procedures at all times.
  • Escalate any quality, safety, or compliance concerns.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the production area.

Essential

About You

  • At least 1 year's experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience working within a GMP-regulated setting.
  • Familiarity with SOPs and quality-controlled processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production priorities.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive, team-focused approach.

Desirable

  • GMP training or certification.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement methodologies.

Working Environment

This is a fully onsite role within a controlled manufacturing facility. Candidates must be comfortable:

  • Wearing PPE and following gowning procedures.
  • Working within GMP-controlled areas.
  • Standing and moving throughout the shift.
  • Maintaining strict hygiene and contamination control standards.

Shift Pattern

Rotating Weekly Between

  • Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm
  • Sunday to Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am
