Manufacturing Technician II
Location: Calthorpe Road, Birmingham
We’re looking for a Manufacturing Technician II to join our Operations team, supporting the manufacture and in-process testing of in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) products. You’ll work within established SOPs, testing protocols and Quality Management System requirements to help deliver high-quality products Right First Time, On Time and in full.
What you’ll do
- Performing manufacturing and in-process testing activities.
- Owning scheduled maintenance for designated equipment or manufacturing areas.
- Ensuring materials and inventory are available when required.
- Completing accurate documentation, data and process checks.
- Applying your technical knowledge to first-level troubleshooting.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce errors and improve processes, EHS and Quality compliance.
- Supporting colleagues through training on specific processes.

What you’ll bring
- You’ll have either GCSE-level education or equivalent with at least one year of relevant experience, or a relevant degree.
- You’ll also bring strong attention to detail, good organisation and communication skills, and experience working effectively within a team and to deadlines.
- Computer literacy, including Word and Excel, is also required.
- Previous laboratory experience and knowledge of COSHH, Quality Systems or ISO 13485 would be advantageous.
