Your New Role
We’re working with a leading global organisation within the electrical, digital infrastructure and data centre sector, who are looking for a Test Engineer to join their team in Reading. You’ll support daily production testing of electromechanical assemblies through test programme validation, technical support, operator training and equipment maintenance. You’ll also assist with the development, assembly and improvement of custom test equipment, including hardware, software, fixtures and test stations, while working closely with Production and Engineering teams to improve testing technology, quality and efficiency.

Ensuring Your Success
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline, alongside some relevant electronics design experience from either a professional or academic setting. You’ll need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot engineering and production testing issues in a fast-paced environment. An understanding of electrical safety, technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams is important, as is some knowledge of software development, networking and electro-mechanical assembly. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll work closely with production teams, engineers, supervisors and operators, providing technical support and training where required.

You’ll have the opportunity to join a global organisation, gaining hands-on experience across electrical testing, engineering technology and manufacturing. The role offers the chance to work on a range of complex equipment and contribute directly to improving production quality and efficiency, alongside working with experienced Engineering and Production teams.
