Founded in 2010, POP MART is a leading global pop culture and entertainment company. With IP at its core, POP MART works with artists and designers worldwide to develop and operate IPs, creating products, services and entertainment experiences for consumers. As of the first half of 2026, POP MART had more than 100 million registered members worldwide, operated 676 physical stores and over 2,800 ROBO SHOP vending machines, and reached nearly 100 countries and regions through cross-border e-commerce platforms, bringing joy to consumers around the world.

Role Overview

Responsible for leading public relations activities across Europe and the UK, ensuring alignment with the Group’s global communications strategy. The role will focus on developing localized PR initiatives, building and maintaining strong media relationships, and protecting and enhancing the company’s brand reputation across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Regional PR Strategy and Planning: Support the development and implementation of regional PR strategies and communications plans, ensuring alignment with the Group’s overall brand positioning and global communications priorities while addressing the specific needs of European and UK markets.
  • Media Relations and Brand Communications: Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets and journalists across Europe and the UK. Lead media engagement, coordinate interviews, and manage the development and distribution of brand communications and content.
  • Media Monitoring and Crisis Communications: Develop and maintain effective media monitoring and early-warning processes to identify emerging issues and reputational risks. Lead local responses to significant media and reputational challenges, working closely with the Group’s PR team to develop and implement appropriate communications strategies.
  • Stakeholder and Resource Coordination: Work closely with local teams, external agencies, and other partners to coordinate resources and ensure the effective planning and delivery of PR initiatives.
  • Global and Regional Collaboration: Maintain regular communication with the Group’s global PR team, providing updates on regional developments, media coverage, and market trends. Contribute to the development and execution of global communications strategies, ensuring consistency across markets while accounting for local considerations.
  • Brand Reputation and Narrative Development: Strengthen brand awareness, credibility, and reputation across Europe and the UK. Develop and refine the brand narrative for local audiences, ensuring consistent and effective messaging across relevant communications channels.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of professional experience in public relations, journalism, brand management, or a related field. Experience working across cultures or markets is an advantage.
  • A strong understanding of the European and UK media landscapes, business cultures, and communications practices is essential. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of the differences between European markets, particularly in relation to media environments, cultural nuances, and language requirements. Previous experience working in European or UK markets is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to independently manage media relations, prepare communications materials, deliver presentations, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. Proficiency in at least one of the following languages would be an advantage: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or Dutch.
  • A strong understanding of the European and UK media landscapes and public opinion environments, with an established network of relevant media contacts and industry relationships being an advantage.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across different time zones.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following languages would be an advantage: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or Dutch.
