I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You’ll make an impact by
- Own data quality standards and governance for client/relationship data across Dynamics and connected systems, including the inconsistency problem you flagged
- Design and own the reporting and insight layer: pipeline reporting, client growth opportunity surfacing, cross-sell/relationship intelligence outputs for the IMC team and beyond
- Define what "good data" looks like and the operating model to sustain it (data entry incentives, ownership, and stewardship)
- Lead AI-enabled data quality and enrichment use cases (third-party enrichment, predictive flags) in partnership with Growth Platforms on tooling
- Translate data into growth-facing outputs partners will actually act on
What we are looking for
Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning new things, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies in everyday life and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you!
We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
- Data/analytics background in a relationship-driven B2B context (not pure BI — this needs someone who understands why a partner won't fill in a CRM field)
- Experience with data governance and stewardship models
- Comfortable working with AI/ML-enabled data tools
- Strong enough communicator to sell insight to non-technical senior stakeholders.
What we can offer you
We recognise that our people are our most important assets. That’s why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package that will help you have fulfilling experience, both in and out of work.
