Marine Insurance Broker (London Market)

London / Hybrid

We are working with a fast-growing marine insurance brokerage who are looking for a Marine Insurance Broker as part of its continued expansion within the London Market.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a Lloyd's registered broking business that is combining traditional marine broking expertise with advanced data, analytics, and loss-prevention technology to deliver smarter, more effective insurance solutions to a global client base.

Backed by significant investment and established relationships within the shipping sector, the business is entering its next phase of growth and looking to strengthen its broking team.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting and developing marine insurance programmes, working closely with both clients and insurers to deliver tailored solutions across a range of complex risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and servicing a portfolio of marine insurance clients
  • Placing risks into the London Market and wider insurer network
  • Negotiating terms, conditions, and premiums with underwriters
  • Supporting new business activity and client development
  • Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments, and day-to-day queries
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurers
  • Working alongside senior leadership on complex risk placements

Areas of Focus

You will gain exposure across a broad range of marine classes, with particular focus on:

  • Cargo
  • War Risks
  • Protection & Indemnity (P&I)
  • Machinery
  • Complex / high-value marine risks

About You

  • Experience within Marine Insurance from a Broking background
  • Understanding of the London Market and marine insurance products
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, ambitious approach with a desire to develop within a growing business
