bp Marine is a global trading, origination and marketing business operating across key marine hubs and unique ports worldwide. Working closely with the global fuel oil, gasoil and bio trading businesses, bp Marine provides access to customers across the marine fuels' market while supporting the competitive marketing of bp's refining production.
As Commercial Manager, Marine, a vital role will be played in supporting the performance, growth and strategic direction of the global Marine Trading, Origination and Marketing business. Working alongside commercial, trading, analytics and leadership teams across geographies, the position offers exposure to strategic decision-making, commercial development and business transformation initiatives.
The role sits within GDIST, T&S's global middle, heavy and bio-distillates trading business, which trades products including diesel, gasoil, renewable fuels, biofuels, feedstocks, jet fuel and specialty products across global markets.

What could the role involve?
Success in this role comes from bringing people together, creating clarity and helping important initiatives move forward.
Working closely with the Global Head of Marine and regional collaborators, responsibility will include helping shape business priorities, providing insights that support decision-making and ensuring strategic projects are delivered optimally.
The successful candidate will play a significant role to amplify business performance reporting, commercial analysis and strategy development, helping identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement. They will also work with commercial and analytics teams to strengthen performance monitoring, support commercial opportunities and enhance business planning activities.

The ideal candidate brings strong commercial awareness, curiosity and a passion for solving complex business challenges. Experience in a trading, commercial, strategy, business management or related environment would be valuable.
Success in the role will require:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- The ability to evaluate information, develop practical solutions and support informed decision-making.
- Confidence communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience building collaborative relationships across teams and functions.
- The ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Understanding of commercial performance, trading principles and business reporting.
- Experience improving processes, systems or ways of working.
- Flexibility to collaborate across different regions and time zones.
Experience within shipping, marine fuels, bunkering or related industries would be advantageous, as would previous leadership, mentoring or project delivery experience.
