Blue Marine's Mission

Blue Marine Foundation seeks to protect and restore life in the ocean.
Our mission is to see at least 30 per cent of the ocean protected by 2030 and the whole ocean sustainably managed. We support low-impact fishing and equitable use of the ocean and address overfishing – one of the world’s biggest environmental challenges.

We are a dynamic NGO at the heart of cutting-edge marine conservation with headquarters in London but operating globally. This is an incredible chance to join our highly impactful charity; we look forward to hearing from you.

The Role

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for two graduates to join our team and support the ongoing success of our mission.

This specialist two-year training programme will start in September 2027 and is designed for graduates looking to begin their careers in the charity sector. If you are passionate about the environment and are a recent graduate or will graduate in the year the programme opens, we encourage you to apply.

During the programme, you will work alongside our colleagues and complete four rotational placements over the two years, spending six months in each placement.
The format will give you a chance to develop skills and experience in some of the following specialist areas: Education, Climate, Fundraising, Economics, Media, Investigations, Policy, Science, Legal and Projects.

Our graduate scheme is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting our projects in real time, as well as being part of a team that truly values your contribution.

You will be provided with a mentor who will support you throughout your time with us and help you make the most of the opportunity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
