Marine Insurance Technician Opportunity

Are you an experienced marine insurance professional looking for your next career move? Mazu is currently seeking a Marine Insurance Technician on behalf of a growing international marine insurance broker based in central London.

Due to continuous business expansion and ongoing success across their global network, this client is adding to their London operations to support an expanding portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational & Broking Support: Provide comprehensive back-office and operational backing to the broking team.
  • Policy & File Management: Prepare, maintain, and validate contract documentation for Hull & Machinery, Cargo, and P&I accounts.
  • Premium Accounting: Oversee premium processing, including invoicing, data validation, and payment reconciliations.
  • Market Interaction: Maintain clear communication with underwriters, insurers, brokers, and global clients.
  • Renewals & Compliance: Support placement and renewal cycles while ensuring strict adherence to London Market regulatory standards.

Key Requirements

  • Market Track Record: Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role within the Lloyd’s and London insurance markets.
  • Marine Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of core marine lines (H&M, Cargo, and/or P&I).
  • Systems Proficiency: Confident hands-on experience using London Market platforms (PPL, Whitespace, and Xchanging).
  • Skillset: High accuracy, strong numerical aptitude, and an organized, proactive approach.
  • Eligibility: Full legal authorization to work in the UK.
