Join Grapefruit as our Marine Project Manager
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Marine Project Manager to join Grapefruit and help grow our work across the marine sector. This is much more than a desk-based project management role.
You’ll look after established marine clients, work with major brands and events, develop new business opportunities and take projects from the initial conversation through to successful delivery.
One week you could be meeting a client or carrying out a site assessment; the next you could be coordinating production, attending an installation or travelling internationally if necessary to help deliver a project.
For the right person, it’s an opportunity to combine marine industry knowledge, client relationships, sales and hands-on project delivery.
What you’ll be doing
- Working with our production, design and installation teams, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing and developing relationships with our existing marine clients
- Working with major brands, marine businesses and international events
- Managing projects from initial enquiry and quotation through to production, installation and completion
- Understanding client requirements and developing the right solution with our internal teams
- Acting as the main point of contact throughout each project
- Carrying out site assessments and attending client and project meetings
- Coordinating schedules, production, suppliers, logistics and installations
- Monitoring project deadlines, quality and budgets
- Identifying opportunities to grow existing client accounts
- Proactively developing new business within the marine sector
- Carrying out outbound sales and building relationships with prospective marine clients
- Preparing quotes, proposals and project information
- Supporting installations on site when required
- Travelling within the UK and internationally for projects, installations, meetings and events
- Ensuring every project represents the quality and service our clients expect from Grapefruit

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
