Marine Solicitor (Partner), 7+ Years PQE, Exeter, GBP Competitive (DOE)

We are looking for an experienced Marine Solicitor to join a highly regarded Marine team in Exeter at Partner level. This is an exceptional opportunity for an established lawyer with 7+ years PQE and a strong track record of advising clients within the ports and marine sector.

The Role

This impressive Marine team is recognised as a Tier 1 practice in Legal 500, with clients praising their market-leading expertise and longstanding relationships across the sector.

  • This role offers the chance to become part of a thriving and ambitious practice with a substantial pipeline of high-quality work.
  • You will work with an established client portfolio while helping to further develop relationships across the sector.
  • Your caseload will include ports and harbour law, marine regulatory matters, commercial and logistics agreements, dispute resolution and litigation, and coastal or port infrastructure and development.
  • From the outset, you'll play a key role in leading complex matters, mentoring colleagues where appropriate, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

Skills Required

  • Applications are sought from Marine Solicitors with a minimum of 7 Years PQE.
  • Strong technical expertise and commercial awareness.
  • A genuine passion for the ports and marine industry.
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of business development, networking, and winning work.
  • The confidence to lead matters independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.
