Role Description
The Market Analyst role at EconoQuest is a contract, remote position focused on gathering, analyzing, and interpreting market and economic data to support client projects and internal initiatives. On a day-to-day basis, the Market Analyst will:

- Perform market research
- Build datasets
- Analyze trends
- Develop reports and presentations that explain key findings and implications
The role involves creating visualizations, dashboards, and written summaries that translate complex data into clear insights for stakeholders. The Market Analyst will:
- Collaborate with project teams
- Contribute to forecasting and scenario analysis
- Support the development of recommendations that inform strategic decisions
Qualifications
- Strong Market Analysis and Market Research skills to evaluate industry trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscapes.
- Solid Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to interpret quantitative data, build models, and support economic and financial assessments.
- Effective Communication skills to present findings clearly, create concise reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, spreadsheets, SAS) and basic statistical concepts.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a remote, contract setting.

A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience in market or business analysis is beneficial.
