Role Description

The Market Analyst role at EconoQuest is a contract, remote position focused on gathering, analyzing, and interpreting market and economic data to support client projects and internal initiatives. On a day-to-day basis, the Market Analyst will:

The role involves creating visualizations, dashboards, and written summaries that translate complex data into clear insights for stakeholders. The Market Analyst will:

  • Collaborate with project teams
  • Contribute to forecasting and scenario analysis
  • Support the development of recommendations that inform strategic decisions

Qualifications

  • Strong Market Analysis and Market Research skills to evaluate industry trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscapes.
  • Solid Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to interpret quantitative data, build models, and support economic and financial assessments.
  • Effective Communication skills to present findings clearly, create concise reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, spreadsheets, SAS) and basic statistical concepts.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a remote, contract setting.

A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience in market or business analysis is beneficial.
