About This Opportunity
You'll join our Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Market Data Services team, playing a critical role in how market data is sourced, governed and optimised across the bank. Responsible for key market data vendors, budget oversight, risk management and service governance, you'll help ensure market data remains aligned with regulatory obligations, business requirements and strategic priorities.
Based within the CIB Chief Operating Office, we partner closely with internal teams and external suppliers such as Bloomberg and London Stock Exchange Group. As Market Data Manager, you'll provide subject matter expertise across contracts, supplier relationships, inventory management, usage governance and cost optimisation, helping colleagues access the data they need while supporting CIB's strategic objectives.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term basis, taking ownership of critical market data services while helping shape future capability, governance and supplier strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- End-to-end management of market data vendors and contracts, including onboarding new services, contract implementation and ongoing supplier performance, working closely with Supplier Management and key vendors such as Bloomberg and London Stock Exchange Group
- Oversight of market data inventory, entitlement and usage records, including access management, usage reporting, supplier declarations and cost allocation. Ensure contractual obligations are met and support effective budget management and cost control across the business.
- Proactive identification, assessment and management of risks associated with market data provision, including regulatory, commercial and operational risks, with issues managed through established governance routes
- Acting as a trusted business partner to key internal customers, providing market data expertise and professional advice while ensuring solutions align to current and future business needs.
- Driving optimisation and efficiency by evaluating complex solutions, finding opportunities for cost mitigation and supporting delivery of a sustainable target operating model as business requirements evolve.
- Maintaining strong awareness of market, vendor and regulatory developments, applying these insights to support decision-making, governance and strategic planning.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
