Market Development Lead - Liquid Cooling
Company: Cool Filtration Ltd
Location: Greater London / Hybrid / Remote, with UK and international travel as required
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Purpose
The Technical Marketing / Market Development Lead will be responsible for positioning Cool Filtration as a technical authority in data centre liquid cooling filtration.
This is a senior market-facing role focused on thought leadership, technical positioning, industry engagement, partner influence, standards participation, market education and strategic content development.
The role is not simply a marketing execution role. It requires someone who can understand technical applications, market trends, customer pain points and industry direction, then translate that into clear market narratives that influence customers, OEMs, integrators, consultants, industry bodies and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Market Positioning
- Develop Cool Filtration’s technical market positioning in liquid cooling filtration.
- Shape the company’s narrative around system cleanliness, uptime, reliability, cold plate protection, contamination control and filtration performance.
- Build messaging for data centre liquid cooling, CDU secondary loop filtration, side-stream filtration, replacement elements and engineered filtration systems.
- Work with technical and commercial teams to translate product capability into market-facing value propositions.
- Identify areas where Cool Filtration can lead industry discussion.
Thought Leadership & Technical Content
- Develop technical articles, white papers, presentations, webinars and industry commentary.
- Support technical publications and evidence-led marketing content.
- Turn customer applications, test data, industry standards and field experience into credible market content.
- Support creation of technical brochures, guidance notes and application documents.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to convert technical themes into campaigns and communications.

Industry Engagement
- Represent Cool Filtration at relevant industry forums, conferences, technical working groups and customer events.
- Support engagement with OCP, ASHRAE and other relevant industry platforms.
- Identify opportunities for Cool Filtration to contribute to technical discussions, panels, webinars and standards conversations.
- Build relationships with consultants, OEMs, technology partners, fluid suppliers, CDU manufacturers and major data centre stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor positioning and customer requirements.
Market Development
- Identify priority market segments and customer groups.
- Support development of go-to-market plans for liquid cooling filtration applications.
- Work with the Strategic Account Director / Sales Director when introduced to align market influence with commercial targets.
- Support strategic partner campaigns and co-created marketing initiatives.
- Help identify new applications, geographies and industry entry points.
- Support customer education and technical awareness activity.
Internal Technical-Commercial Support
- Work closely with the Chief Filtration Solutions Architect on technical positioning and industry strategy.
- Work with the Proposals & Applications Manager to ensure proposal messaging reflects Cool Filtration’s technical value.
- Work with the Associate Filtration Solutions Architect to capture customer application insights.
- Work with Engineering to ensure market claims are technically accurate.
- Work with Marketing Manager to ensure thought leadership is converted into usable marketing outputs.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong technical marketing, market development, applications engineering, product marketing or technical sales background.
- Ability to understand technical products and explain their value clearly to customers and industry stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating technical content, presentations, webinars or thought-leadership material.
- Ability to influence customers, partners and industry stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in a technical B2B environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of customer drivers.
- Able to work closely with engineering, commercial and marketing teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in data centres, liquid cooling, thermal management, filtration, HVAC, energy systems, industrial fluids, mechanical systems or engineered components.
- Experience with industry bodies, technical committees, standards activity or conference speaking.
- Experience working with OEMs, integrators, consultants or large enterprise customers.
- Experience developing market-entry or category-positioning strategies.
- Experience turning technical evidence into customer-facing commercial messaging.
