Market Facing Director (MFD) – AI Business Transformation – TC

The opportunity

This is a senior market-facing consulting role focused on helping financial services clients reimagine how work gets done with AI. The Director will shape the sales cycle into compelling, commercially robust transformation engagements.

The role requires an experienced Director who can work with business leaders as well as technology, data, risk, and change teams. The successful candidate will identify where AI can create measurable value, frame the case for change, shape the technical solution, and lead the pursuit team through to a successful win.

This is not a technology sales role. It is a business transformation leadership role that uses AI as a catalyst to redesign work, improve performance, and build confidence in practical, responsible adoption.

Develop AI opportunities into won client engagements by shaping business-led propositions, influencing senior stakeholders, and creating solutions that show how AI can increase revenue, reduce cost, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce risk across financial services organisations.

Your key responsibilities

Opportunity shaping and sales leadership

  • Own the end-to-end shaping of selected AI transformation opportunities from early client need through to signed engagement.
  • Develop opportunity hypotheses based on client context, sector trends, competitive pressures, regulatory drivers, and known business pain points.
  • Create differentiated win themes and client propositions that show how AI can deliver measurable business value.
  • Lead the development of proposals, statements of work, commercial models, delivery plans, and executive presentations.
  • Work with account teams, client partners, and service line leaders to qualify opportunities and focus pursuit effort on the most attractive work.
  • Challenge and refine client requirements where appropriate, helping clients move from technology-led requests to business-led transformation outcomes.

AI-enabled business transformation advisory

  • Help clients reimagine work across operations, customer service, claims, underwriting, lending, financial crime, compliance, risk, finance, technology, and relationship management.
  • Identify opportunities for AI-enabled redesign across processes, decisions, controls, knowledge work, customer interactions, and colleague experience.
  • Design solution architecture for agent-led workflow agents (perform bounded task flows and orchestration of approvals); supervised orchestration agents (coordinate multi-step processes across tools and teams, recommending and executing actions); and operational agents (optimises and acts with pre-authorised operational boundaries).
  • Advise on organisational implications of AI adoption, including future roles, skills, governance, adoption, change management, and operating model design.
  • Bring current market insight on generative AI, agentic workflows, intelligent automation, predictive analytics, document intelligence, decisioning, and AI-assisted customer engagement.
  • Ensure AI transformation opportunities are grounded in responsible AI principles, regulatory expectations, model risk management, and implementation reality.

Client leadership and stakeholder engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across business, operations, technology, data, risk, compliance, and transformation functions.
  • Facilitate executive conversations that move clients from AI interest to AI investment.
  • Communicate complex AI concepts in business language, with a clear focus on value, risk, delivery feasibility, and organisational change.
  • Use storytelling, structured problem solving, and commercial insight to influence client decision-making.
  • Represent the firm as a credible senior advisor in the AI transformation market.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
