A great opportunity to join a growing UK Blockchain firm working remotely as a Senior Market Maker on the Electronic Algo trading covering digital commodities.
We're building out an in-house electronic market making and algo trading function to reduce reliance on external market makers and bring core liquidity provision in-house. This is a hands-on, technical trading role covering commodities (including physical/metals exposure) across on-chain, CEX, and TradFi venues.
What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and manage algorithmic strategies that place bid/ask quotes intelligently across on-chain and TradFi/CEX venues.
- Build and operate arbitrage strategies between on-chain markets and TradFi venues, ensuring execution is safe and risk-controlled.
- Bring market making functions currently run by external providers (e.g., gold, uranium) in-house.
- Monitor and manage order book dynamics in real time to optimize quoting and execution.
- Work closely with tech/engineering to maintain and improve trading infrastructure (this is a tech-heavy role).
- Partner with the Capital Markets team to help shape the broader market making strategy, which is still evolving.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
