Plexus have partnered with a cutting-edge trading firm offering spot, derivatives and structured products. They are a pioneering institutional digital asset trading firm with a non-custodial approach, optimising risk management and settlement. They blend human expertise, service and technology to redefine the crypto brokerage experience.
We are looking for a Market Maker Engineer to join their expanding London team, working closely with the CTO and senior engineers to build and optimise their market-making infrastructure.
This is a 70:30 engineering/trading role — primarily development, but with a strong focus on pricing, hedging and market-making strategies.

Requirements:
- Strong Java development experience, ideally within trading or financial markets.
- Experience building production trading, pricing or market-making systems.
- Strong understanding of pricing, hedging and execution.
- Crypto-native experience is highly desirable, particularly stablecoins, DeFi or digital assets – but not a dealbreaker!
- Open to candidates from FX or any adjacent backgrounds with strong market-making/trading experience.
- Quantitative mindset with a strong understanding of financial markets.
- Comfortable working closely with traders, quants and senior engineers.
- Strong ownership and ability to operate in a fast-paced trading environment.

Location: London — 5 days a week in Canary Wharf
The London team currently has 4 people, with 20+ globally, and is continuing to expand.
Comp: £160k+ + Bonus
Employment: Full-time contractor arrangement. The client can explain the structure and benefits in more detail early in the process.
