Market Performance Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Market Performance Manager based in the United Kingdom.

As Market Performance Manager, you will play a central role in understanding and improving marketplace performance across a dynamic digital business. Working across Product, Marketing, Commercial, Pricing, and Analytics, you will turn data into insights that drive better customer outcomes and sustainable growth. You will monitor market health, identify emerging opportunities and risks, and challenge existing approaches with evidence-based recommendations. Your work will directly influence investment decisions, strategic priorities, and overall marketplace performance. You will also bring valuable market intelligence on competitors, customer behavior, and industry trends to senior stakeholders. This is an impactful, cross-functional role for an analytical and commercially minded professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges and influencing decisions.

Accountabilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate marketplace health and performance across commercial, candidate, product, and other relevant business KPIs.
  • Identify growth opportunities, performance risks, and optimization potential through rigorous data analysis and market intelligence.
  • Translate performance trends and complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations that inform strategy, investments, and business priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Pricing, and Commercial teams to improve marketplace performance and customer outcomes.
  • Challenge existing assumptions and approaches by using data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improved performance and sustainable growth.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level performance reporting, highlighting key trends, challenges, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market dynamics, customer behavior, and broader industry trends to inform marketplace and growth strategies.
  • Support commercially significant initiatives that improve customer outcomes, strengthen retention, and contribute to long-term market performance.
  • Develop and enhance reporting frameworks and analytical approaches that provide stakeholders with a clear view of market health and performance.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools where appropriate to improve the quality, speed, and effectiveness of business decision-making.

Requirements

  • Relevant professional experience in marketplace, ecommerce, digital trading, performance marketing, product performance, or another data-driven commercial environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex datasets, recognize meaningful trends, and uncover actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated commercial mindset and ability to translate analysis into recommendations that generate measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and drive decisions across multiple teams and functions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including confidence communicating insights, recommendations, risks, and challenges to senior stakeholders.
  • Structured and data-driven approach to problem solving, with a demonstrated ability to investigate business challenges and develop practical solutions.
  • Understanding of digital marketplaces, ecommerce, conversion optimization, pricing, or growth-focused business models is advantageous.
  • Previous experience presenting analysis and strategic recommendations to senior leadership or executive stakeholders is a plus.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools, advanced analytics, reporting frameworks, or similar technologies to improve business performance and decision-making is desirable.
  • Strong commercial curiosity and a proactive mindset, with the ability to challenge the status quo and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities.
