Market Research & Intelligence Analyst

Hybrid Working | 3 Days in Office (Tuesday-Thursday)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Research & Intelligence Analyst to join a leading professional services firm. Supporting the Business Development and Marketing teams, you will deliver market, company, industry, and competitive intelligence that helps drive strategic business development initiatives across the firm.

The role is heavily focused on secondary research, analysis, and producing high-quality written deliverables, including company profiles, executive biographies, M&A tracking, current awareness updates, and opportunity reports. Using tools such as Lexis, Capital IQ, Mergermarket, AlphaSense, Copilot, Harvey, and other business intelligence platforms, you will gather, analyse, and synthesise information into concise, commercially focused insights.

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience within a law firm, professional services, consulting, private equity, venture capital, research, or business development environment
  • Strong experience conducting secondary research and analysing business intelligence data
  • Exceptional written communication skills with outstanding attention to detail, grammar, consistency, and accuracy
  • Confidence leveraging AI-powered research tools while applying sound judgement and rigorous quality control
  • Ability to transform complex information into clear, business-focused recommendations and summaries
  • Advanced Excel skills, including reporting, dashboards, data analysis, and automation, are highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded researcher who enjoys uncovering insights, identifying opportunities, and delivering polished, high-impact work to senior stakeholders.

Please note: This is a hybrid role with a mandatory in-office presence three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday. There is no flexibility on this requirement.
