Market Risk Analyst - 6-Month Contract

We’re working with a leading global financial institution seeking a Market Risk Analyst to join their London team on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in market risk and a strong understanding of risk metrics, reporting and ideally wholesale banking products. The role is 5 days in the London office and pays £250 per day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report market risk metrics, ensuring adherence to approved market risk limits.
  • Support the Market Risk Manager with risk infrastructure, reporting improvements and related projects.
  • Monitor first-line business activity from a market risk perspective and support risk management platforms.
  • Assist with market risk exposure methodologies, including VaR, DV01 and FX exposure.
  • Monitor counterparty credit and country risk, including stress testing and qualitative risk assessments.

Key Requirements:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in Market Risk environment.
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, physics or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of market risk measurement, management principles and reporting.
  • Able to start within a month
