Overview

To support the continuing development of this highly successful business, we require a dynamic professional to play a key role in supporting the Market Risk department with its responsibilities. The individual will assist with risk monitoring for various business lines of the wider group to help protect the firm’s capital.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the risk of client and firm positions against approved mandates and escalating any breaches where required
  • Ensuring timely completion of daily / periodic items
  • Assist in the creation and analysis of risk reports and escalating issues to management where required
  • Monitor intraday price movements and stay abreast of market developments which could impact the company and / or clients
  • Analysis and approval of client requests
  • Perform stress tests of client exposures ahead of an expected period of higher market volatility
  • Keep Market Risk procedures up to date as and when any significant changes occur
  • Ad hoc duties as required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics or other similar / relevant discipline
  • Fluency in business English
  • Proficient using the MS Office suite, in particular Excel
  • Technology / automation experience desirable – i.e., using SQL, Python etc
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment, with the ability to multi-task and handle numerous requests simultaneously
  • Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail
  • Able to work as part of a team and individually, with the ability to be self-motivated especially with the current hybrid working environment
  • Ability to communicate complex matters effectively with management and colleagues
