We are looking for curious, expert analysts to join the Solicitors Regulation Authority as Market Risk Leads.
These three new roles sit within the Risk, Data Analysis and Insights directorate. They will support the development and delivery of our Market Risk Assessment framework/processes.
In this role, you will:
- Provide insight into market risk trends, exposures and mitigation strategies.
- Help the SRA monitor risk over time and make informed decisions.
- Play a key part in identifying, assessing and managing market risks to protect consumers and public interest.
- Contribute to a proactive and robust approach achieving our regulatory objectives.
You will carry out desk-based research, gather market data from external sources, and draw on information from internal departments, including policy, supervision, investigations, and data teams.

What we are looking for:
Relevant experience and expertise:
- Broad and deep experience in a relevant field, such as risk-based regulation or evidence-based policy, preferably across a range of sectors.
- Relevant training or qualifications, for example in economics, behavioural science or another social science-based discipline.
- Applied understanding of regulatory environments, market dynamics and evidence-led intervention.
Analysis and insight:
- Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information and present clear, actionable insights.
- Proficiency in risk management frameworks and data interpretation tools.
Communication and collaboration
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Collaborative and proactive, with a commitment to continuous improvement and organisational learning.
Personal effectiveness and values
- Self-starter who creates clarity and momentum in evolving environments.
- Resilient and able to work appropriately with sensitive data from a range of sources.
- Personal commitment to the public interest.

Working arrangement:
- We are recruiting for this role working on a hybrid basis from our Birmingham, Cardiff, and London offices. You will be based in the office nearest to your location, with the expectation of working one to two days a week in the office and the remainder of the week from home. This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week. Working hours are normally Monday to Friday and will be scheduled between our core business hours of 8.00 and 18.00.
